I think it depends on  what they consider a "cup".  My four cup coffee maker produces four 5 oz cups of coffee, other brands consider a cup 4 ounces, or 6 ounces,  or maybe a real cup of 8 oz., (or an English cup which I think is 10 US ounces.  Then there's the demitasse which can be as small
