Well, I'm talking about flash, and according to Boz's site, the Super
Program supported OTF TTL flash exposure control, as did all the auto
focus film bodies I checked. So did the *ist-D series of digital
cameras, but that worked so poorly that I'm not surprised that most
people don't

My understanding is that only the LX, of all Pentax bodies, had OTF metering.

Yeah I find the AF280T is only useful in a pinch personally. Not enough power.

Hell I've got a couple of those, what I want is a working AF200T, it
fits in my little tiny bag with the M85 f2.0 and A 24 f2.8 and is good
for a bit of extra illumination in a pinch.
The AF280T is relatively big and bulky, pretends to be a professional
unit, but never seems to have enough
The AFxxxT flashes have a thyristor quench circuit that reads the light
returned from the subject directly with a sensor built into the flash,
(i.e. not using the TTL sensor in the camera body), as an option. There
may be a model that doesn't have the sensor, or one that doesn't
actually
P J, Please elaborate on this. Off list if you prefer.

Hell let's give you a PDML discount. $20. ;)

You might be surprised about that. I recently bought 100 transistors for less
than 1p each,
I know that feeling. I grew up when you could take something in to be
fixed if it broke. I have trouble adapting to today's disposable society.

I know, I already have two AF 280Ts one works perfectly the other is
full power all the time. I also know I could probably replace it for
about $10. I'm just pissed off that it decided to break.

I like the AF280T for the tilt/swivel head, although
It seems that when I'm not actually breaking my equipment, it's breaking

with the results. Sure it's not P-TTL, but as far as it goes, having
