Hi all,
has anyone already gained experience with this lens? Are there any reviews
in magazines? From what I have read sofar I think the lens is overpriced,
so I think I'll wait with buying it.

Hi Everyone,
Popular Photography tested the Pentax 24-90 mm lens
when it came out and I kept the results and compared
it to their test of the Tokina 28-80 f2.8 ATX Pro
when it was released earlier.
The Tokina blew it away optically and in build
quality.

I have for sale a Pentax FA 24-90 /3.5-4.5 IF AL lens. It is in EX+
condition. The only flaw I can find is on the lens hood. It has a
couple of rub marks. No scratches though. It's a very nice lens.

The only magazine that might do a comparative review would be U.K.'s
Practical Photography - likely as part of an overall review of such
zooms. Also, watch Photodo, although they seem to be behind the curve on
new lenses.
The June 01 Popular Photography reviews the Tamron 24-135, rather
favorably

The Tamron got excellent results in it's Pop Photo tests, the Pentax 24-90
is so new all we have to go on yet are list member results.

Personally, I won't not bother any test result from Pop. Photo. The
SP35-105/2.8 got favourable comments too but turned out it was the worst
