Every shot is different.Over exposed, underesposed, wb differneces,
all on the same fence in a matter of seconds.
Less than 10,000 shutters i had to replace the AE board, twice in for
metering problems and then the shutter went at 9800 actuations.
Need i say more.

The 12-24 won't be that expensive to match, the Pentax 12-24 is
significantly cheaper than the Nikon but performs just as well (The
extra cost in the Nikon is in heavier build and the AF-S motor).
The 400 f2.8 on the other hand...
