But for the lens repairs, I dragged out the HO train tools.
Fine motor skills vs the more gross motor skills, I suppose.

I had two A50/1.7 and both had poor aperture rings. Clean and relubrication
didn't

Common problem with the A50/1.7. The
It's the A button on the aperture ring. It is held back by two leaf springs. These
are poorly secured to the plastic lens body and come loose. They prevent you from
moving the aperture ring all the way to A.
If you are careful, you can take the aperture ring off and glue the leaf springs d
