Once I stop using them, they sit in the closet until the closet is too full.
Then I give them to others that might enjoy them, or sell them to those that
want them. If they stop working it's a boon: I can put them in the dumpster

I feel your pain. My *ist-D has a few issues, so it would sell for
maybe $25 if I could find someone who wanted it. It's like the Pentax
H3, I bought one a few years ago to get the lens, (a SMC Takumar 35mm
f3.5), it was like getting a bargain on the lens because no one wanted
the camera shap
I donate things to Salvation Army, etc. Somebody will want them.

Someone somewhere will want them - just list them on ebay or craigs list
one way perhaps is to mention them as props for vids or movies taking place
back in the day where photographers are in the cast
