I've got no beef with that.
If it were in B&W I'd-a mistaken it for one of Vivian Mooers.

Thanks, Tom!
Since most of my AF lenses are Sigma EX (10-20mm, 28mm f1.8, &
50-500mm) and the only *Pentax* AF lenses I currently own are the
F100mm Macro and the 35-70mm f3.5-4.5, I decided that the DA 16-45mm
looks like an excellent lens to fit the hole in my focal length
coverage. I also couldn

Keep in mind that the K-5 was a flagship product, while the K-30 is a
high end entry level. The K-5 maintains the following advantages:
1) faster FPS burst
2) metal body
3) top lcd
4) a few more dedicated buttons

You've probably seen the rumors starting to come fast and furious
regarding an upcoming Pentax announcement.
It may be worth noting that the Sony A99, a 24.3MP full frame, was
announced on Sept. 12th. Rumors then said that this would be the
sensor that Pentax would be developing a full frame camer
PS... the full frame would be the same sensor as the Sony A99 (but not
limited by the pellicle mirror)
and the APS-C would be the same sensor as the NEX-7.

Don't know if you have seen this yet or not, but since I know we have
some Nik Software fans around here:
Earlier: Google pulled the *desktop* version of Snapseed the same day
they discontinued Google Reader (torquing a LOT of nerds off).
Today: Google announced every single one of Nik’s desktop
Evidence now suggests to me that if a FF is coming at all, it probably
won't be announced until Photokina in Sept.
However, a online retailer in China's "New Pentax" models lists:
645D II
K-3s
K-01 II
(no details or photos yet)
Presumably, if there is a K-3s, there is also a K-3. Listed as a 24MP

Yes, it sounds like:
Improved contrast AF performance.
Improved stability for general performance
I'm reminded of the old chestnut "If it sounds too good to be true, it
probably IS."
