To unsubscribe,
ave. You only have to do step 3 one time on each
physical server, but step 2 for each site that you want to use php on IIS6.

To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
by a script which
generates it from the installation page in the manual. I've CC'd this to the
doc list where, I'm sure, someone will correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm
correct, you need to patch the manual page.

It would still be nice if that could be automatic - otherwise it's liekly to
be forgotten when building a new release.

I've just had a quick look in CVS - the version there (1.7) for install.txt
is the one we should work from. The install page in the manual is different,
o make some time to look into it before or at the weekend.

the manual with regard to
windows installation, and it also contains useful hints and tips for common
installation problems which should go into the manual.
I'm happy to work with someone familiar with the php doc system to sort
things out.

it won't work well and
will create a load of support traffic on the lists.

lling php as a cgi with pws or iis3
and
pws-php4isapi for installing php as an isapi module with pws or iis3
(although I'm not sure it will work as an isapi module with these servers -
the manual does say explicitly that ISAPI is not supported on IIS3 - and
since PWS on win9x is essentially the sam
installed on your
machine, many of teh extensions won't start up as they depend on dlls which
belong to the external programs.

vent, I don't
understand enough about the documentation system (and probably don't have
enough karma) to do it myself.

PS Anyone on the QA list who got my post on this yesterday, please note that
the install.xml file I have posted at the above address supersedes the file
