I would like to see as much diversity as we can get on the committee.

Yes, I couldn't agree more about the need for someone to be in charge and
having people responsible for certain areas. That's a good way to make this
happen. We can all continue to give our input and maybe vote on some issues
but having someone at the helm is definitely the answer.

I have designed and built most of the file uploader for the pinhole day
site. It allows you to enter information about your picture and yourself and
then uploads it and FTP's it to the WPPD web-site. Then, periodically, a
tool runs and generates a set of web pages based on the info and pictures
I, for one, think it should be counted out. Democracy is not the issue.

Folks,
It would be nice if we had a press release drafted announcing this event to
the world. Then each of us could send it to our local and regional news
media. Perhaps the people at Pinhole Visions could put something together.

Tom,
Is there an easy way to check if they're all the way through. I looked at
them with the loupe and can't tell. Also, the holes actually look like
tears. They are not round but jagged. I have the opaque that I use for
scratches and other blemishes. That sounds like a good idea to just but a

James,
Glad you decided to stay. We all have varying opinions, sometimes strong.
It is extremely rare that a fellow pinholer on this list gets out of hand.
Overall this is a great group of people with a vast base of knowledge and

As a rule of thumb I usually develop mine shorter to lower the contrast

highly personal choice and often will depend on the subject matter. Many

pinhole. How thin is the metal the pinhole was drilled in? (I ask
this because the main reason for the sanding a dimple method
of drilling a pinhole is to thin the metal so that the walls of the
hole are as short as possible.)

It was exactly like using other pinholes. The exposure always ends up
taking 1/2 to 1 more stop than my calculator shows - reciprocity? It came in
a nice plastic case with the size printed on it. The pinhole itself is
mounted on a very sturdy ring.

I have just added the ability to specify the inner ring size so that you can

John,
F stops are based on the square root of 2. For the non-math inclined you
just start with 2.8 and 5.6 and alternately double each:
5.6 11 2245(44)90
8 16 3264
