Folks,
I've tried to dissect a SX-70 for some pin hole fun, but to no avail
i.e., I'm frightened of breaking it all together. Any hints?
Mark
Hi,
I remember someone asked about SX-70 a week or so ago.
Just found this site, where the photographer uses the polaroid camera for
the processing of the pinhole prints...

Hi Guillermo,
Thanks for the links, very useful information there.
I hope I can fix it, I really like the camera.

Hi folks,
My SX 70 just broke, the film is not coming out.
I know there are people here that use SX 70 for pinholes, so maybe some
one knows how to fix it. I don't have anyone here in Brazil that is able
to do that, so I'll have to manage to do it myself.
Thanks in advance for any clues,
Joao
This same technique will work for any of the integral pack films:
600, Spectra, Captiva (now called Type 95), and I-Zone. The
tiny I-Zone film is tempting for use in one of those miniature
Altoids tins that was mentioned here a while back...
Thanks, Chris!

The price is comparable to the price, new, of a Polaroid 545i back.
If you're going to build a camera around a Polaroid back, the 545 is
better than the SX-70 because it

You don't really have to by-pass the autoexposure - I just removed the lens
and shutter blades (on a time-zero camera) and replaced them with a pinhole
and a homemade shutter to control exposure. After making the exposure - you
press the shutter button and the camera goes thru its normal exposu

Did you guys know; Polaroid DOES sell just the BACKS to their
cameras? (the "magazine" part ) Logically, it seems easier to me to
start by buying one of these, and then build the camera body onto
it, rather than starting from the opposite direction??

I just pulled my copy of The Polaroid Newsletter for Photographic
Education Summer 1986. The article in question shows how to make a pin
hole camera from a 50 sheet 4x5 box and a way to hold the SX 70 pack in
place. They then instruct you how to place this back into the camera to
process it. I scan
