Hello PLUG,
We are about to roll out servers with IPv6 addresses (only) and I am concerned
with the readiness of our local telcos. Anyone know the state of IPv6 in the
Philippines? Please do share your success and failures.

Hello PLUG,
I am in favor of having emails hosted and servers located in the Philippines

For on-call visits, charge them P500/hour plus transportation.
Tip, don't give them root access since you are the sysadmin. Handover access

Good luck!

Running a web hosting server on DSL is not a good idea... consider speed and
reliability. My company offers linux-based reseller hosting, Virtual servers,
dedicated servers and colocation in PLDT's datacenter. Please email me directly
if interested to know more. Thanks.

Marvin, we had the same problem after upgrading CentOS 5.2 to 5.3 but we had
Intel Gigabit ethernet controllers. No solution was found so we had to go back
to previous kernel to keep the bonded interfaces steady.

Hi Rod,
Please let me know if your school would publicly share your ubuntu mirror as I
would like to avoid duplicating the effort. Please let us know the URL to test

Thanks,

Ubuntu is quite a monster to download - 220GB for the whole archive!

I'm glad some folks found the mirror fast. Fyi, this is how fast our web

Hi,
The windows guru of our monitoring team created an
agent using WScript and then utilizing send_nsca.exe
binary to send as passive checks every 5 minutes (very

has some 20 service checks defined per server.
Hope that helps.

I use Nagios on a daily basis and I recommend taking a
