Here is how I would go about it.
0. You could do this with Jack, but ... too long instructions
1. start: pavucontrol &
select input devices tab
show: All Input Devices
you should see your monitor device - right?
2. Get everything ready to play your sound file.
3. go to you Google-API
Hello all:
I am trying to convert a large wav audio file into text (speech-to-text
transcription). I discovered that Google Chrome has their Web Speech API
which does this, but from the microphone input only which is a clickable
radio button on their web page
Starting in Linux Mint 18.2 or 18.3, started to include *timeshift* used to
make snapshots of your OS. I have not tested it much but it sounds like a
bit in option that you are looking forward. It has a GUI as well.

Have you tried Pidgin with the Sipe plugin? I use it and it's a decent
replacement for Lync, ahem, Skype for Business.

But in all sincerity, I'd advocate for using a more secure and privacy
respecting application if not for the sake of the employees but also the
organization
Auke Kok, I think.

For the life of me, I cannot remember the presenter's name, could someone
please tell me what it is?
Thanks

There is also a "clearlinuxos" channel and a few others of interest. I
will make a list.
Q: Why do
The PLUG Advanced topics meeting was last night. It turned out very well.
The "Intel Open Source" channel on YouTube will be posting Michael
Dexter's video of the meeting sometime soon.
Thanks to everyone who was able to make it.
Q: Why do programmers confuse Halloween and Christmas?
A: Because

I tried this on a Linux machine for about a week, maybe less. Once I found

*Paul, yes I could do exactly what you suggested as a stop-gap, but, if it
ever becomes feasible, I think that I will work on developing an
application that will do what remastersys used to do. I think that I would

Does anyone else use Skype for Linux? My problem is that the status
changes from away to active on its own. I set it to away when I'm done
working. Some days, some time overnight it changes back to active. I can
set it back to away and it will stay that way. It might stay that way
for a week
Can you just keep a backup of your personal files on an external drive
and down load an extra ISO? I always have a few copies of Mint lying
around. If there is ever a serious problem I'll just wipe the drive,
install
a new ISO, and restore. I use Linux Mint Cinnamon and have for 3-4 years.
