The OOo class at MCC filled up! That's awesome.
The class was supposed to be limited, but that didn't happen for some
reason. That means there are actually a few extra class slots open. Sign
up now if you want to take the class.

originally wanted to go into, and am still interested in, telecom,
networking, and sys admin and analysis. I would *LOVE* to do embedded
I'm looking for backup software that doesn't back up the empty space on
the drive. Also, I would like it to be able to make incremental backups.
Dump (dd) seems to back up everything, empty or not. Not what I'm looking
for. I looked at tar but am unsure about the incremental use. I've tried

I posted a script on PLUG a bit ago that I use in exactly the same
environment as yours.
In the same thread I believe there were a few alternate suggestions.

I've used rsync through scripting to backup 60+ remote servers
nightly. I used something by the name of Rsync Vault Manager (RVM).

I've written scripts before this, but this just made everything simple
for me. Simple is good in my opinion.

I need to buy a new laptop and I'm going to dual boot it. Which has
better linux drivers: ATI or NVidia?
I assume both support compiz-fusion with recent cards, right?
About 6 months ago, trying to use ATi's evil binary modules with

You know, as bad as it might sound I've had nothing but success and

I just bought a new Thinkpad T61p, and it still lives up to IBM's old
standards of quality. The video card is an Nvidia Quadro FX 570M, and
performs quite well. AFAIK, while ATI's newer graphics chipsets have good
Linux support, those chipsets haven't really filtered down to laptop

Intel has been providing specs for a long time, so drivers are in better

I've found getting effects or dual-head working on ATI and nVidia to be a
