On Zenwalk it is built off of slackware so it should be pretty
striaghtforward and stable if he followed the slackware package list.
I have used slackware and it was very easy to set up if not pretty or
spelled out in crayon. but its a solid dist, zenwalk should be about

Knoppix Customize allows for ISO customization without remastering.
knoppix-customize is a program that allows you change the boot
options and files of a KNOPPIX ISO image or boot disk without
remastering. KNOPPIX is a bootable CD with a collection of
GNU/Linux
I just noticed a disconnect in our discussion that may just be a
misunderstanding of terms. The cards in the photo you pointed at are
PC Card[1] flash memory, not Compact Flash[2]. They each work the
same way but are different physical size and connection.
I just hope you need the PC Cards you
