I posted this before with no answer. The new SoftSqueeze (on XP Pro)
still stops updating its display. Unless I click on it, the now playing
display returns to the connection page after a while -- less than a
minute. I have the latest Java installed (1.5.0_09). It did it on the
previous version
I did find the registry keys that hold this data... so technically I
guess I could write an app that changes the registry data, loads an
instance, changes the registry data, loads an instance, rinse, repeat.
Just wondering if there was a sexier way of doing this.

device it was last managing, but I'd love for the wife to be able to
simply close the app and re-open it to reset everything to where she
can use it.

Sorry - some more background explanation on how SB works.
With 6.3 mms streams - Slimserver sets up the stream and the SB talks
to the mms stream direct - the PC has no part except to update the
screen/ change volume etc.
In your Winamp mms test - all data is between the PC and BBC so the TCP
