The top level entries in AlienBBC are made by the plugin - the next level are retrieved from BBC so problem is getting data from internet. There was some sort of DNS issues in slimserver at system startup where slimserver starts up before the internet connections is made and DNS setup. Slimserve

My answer is #4, but I got the stopping at 4'15" effect after my upgrade from dapper as the repository for edgy still seemed to have only mplayer 1.07. My solution was to do 'apt-get update', and 'apt-get install mplayer' in a terminal which got me a copy of 1.08. After that the problem went awa
