I prefer to use the "Random songs" SQL Playlist instead of the default
Random Mix because of the ability to exclude genres.
Is it possible to replace the Random Mix option by the "Random songs"

How do I permanently remove the Trackstat data (Ratings) so that it does
not show up next to the tracks in the Web interface or SB3? From the SC
Server Settings -> Advanced Tab -> TrackStat -> Backup/Restore/Clear I
have tried Remove Data, Delete Unused Statistics and Refresh Statistics
after Scan
Sorry, just my shorthand. I know it must be the correct path because I
simply dragged the mplayer file into the Terminal window, which gives

If mplayer is in the /usr/local/bin then you should type
/usr/local/bin/mplayer - note the leading "/".

In 2., when I put the full path, usr/local/bin/mplayer, I got 'no such
file or directory', so I just put mplayer on the top level, and got the
'no such command'.
In 4., when I put the full path, usr/local/bin/mplayer, I get the
'missing library' message. When I put mplayer at the top level, I get
Step 4 "command not found" means that mplayer has not been re-installed
correctly or you haven't given the path to it.
What is the full directory of where have you installed mplayer ?

I can't give specifics on OSX but it is strange that mplayer works on
other systems and not yours. Can you think of anything that could make
your system special/ different ?
In the meantime - I still think it is worth confirming that the new
mplayer actually got installed.

Hmmm, After a few albums have played the SB response returns to
normal. So maybe Trackstat does some heavy duty processing when first
invoked? My Squeezecentre runs on a Koolu so not the fastest device if
a lot of work is being done.
I'll explore some more to try and find out how long the per
Song titles won't be shown using RealAudio stream and AlienBBC.
If you are in the UK - try playing the WMA streams under Slim
Picks/Staff Picks. I can't test this stream.

Hi
When I had my Qnap TS101 I'm sure that when I listened to Radio 2 it
showed the song title and artist.
Now I have a Thecus N5200Pro It just says Radio 2 all the time!
Other radio stations other than on the Alien BBC show the song titles
and artists.
Any ideas?

I am trying to use the Trackstat plugin with the latest 7.01
nightly builds on Ubuntu 7.04.
When I select Trackstat and ask it to play something ( usually Albums
never played ) it all seems to work fine, with the SB3 ( and SB2 )
playing music perfectly. However once playing the SB interface
The BBC have many similar menu to present similar information. Before I
had the search I created an Addon for the "Listen by Genre" menu on BBC
Radio front. I couldn't find these by navigating the "Listen Again"
menus. IMO They still have too many entries to browse easily on SB -
hence the search
I have a bizarre situation trying to (and kind of successfully)
streaming AlienBBC over SSH. I created a vanilla XP Pro install with
nightly SS7 r17587, latest install pack for Alien (inc mplayer), lame
3.97 and streaming to softsqueeze 3.6 (limiting bitrate to 160) over
ssh.

they are created centrally and seem to be updated about once a day.
They are using a similar process of web walking and I guess looking for
text heading to start their menus. However every so often bits of the
