Ah ha. Victory!
With a clean install from the beginning, it's working, hooray!
Now, to figure out how to reduce the latency... and mute the mic
input... :)

The name of the directory in the zip file was already "WaveInput" -
this make me think you did not just unzip the file into Plugins but you
did something in between.

Quick question,
I am trying to get working on 7.1 and kind of stuck.
After modifying the install.xml file so max version is * instead of
WaveInput appears with a checkbox in my Plugins tab in SqueezeCenter
Settings. (It has no informational 'i' icon)
However, there are no "Wave Input" entries
Hi ! Loving iPeng and eagerly awaiting the native app.
Quick question - is Synchronize meant to work ? As it doesn't for me -
whenver I try to sync via the various settings, the home screen player
selector _initially_ says "Synchronize" then refreshes to default back
to one of the players.

Well, I've also updated the plugin download file, so anyone else who has
problems with getting it to load with newer versions of SqueezeCenter
can now just redownload the plugin (from the original location), and
reinstall it.
It's recommended that the old one is removed first (by deleting the

Sorry I forgot you were running 6.5 - The menu is called "iPlayer" I
think. This is the only BBC menu that can be trusted to be up to date.
In 6.5 The iPlayer menu content reflects the basic station content as
provided by BBC iPlayer/Radio - Paginated, No categories, schedule or
search.

Bpa, I was just nosing around the three new downloaded files for the
1.06 new Addon to see if they looked OK, and I noticed they are 'plain
text documents', which I'm sure they should not be. Some problem with
downloading the files I suspect. Any thoughts on how I can get the real
ones?

I'm confused now. No sign of anything called 'BBC iPlayer Radio'. Where
should I be looking, precisely?

I think you are using the old (and broken) "Listen Again" menus. There
is no "Radio 2 A-Z'" menu in the iPlayer Addon.
Go to the menu BBC iPlayer Radio - it is probably the last or 2nd last
menu items.

Thanks for the tip, Howard. I'll have to poke around in the HTML files
and see what I can come up with, when I get home.

Playing with my SBC - I was adding songs to my now-playing list and I
accidentally hit "Play" instead of "+" on a song - ergo losing my

Dear bpa,
Thanks for your efforts with the iplayer add on.
I'm using Squeezebox with SqueezeCentre 7.1 and AlienBBC and iPlayer is
working great.
Noticed that some programmes are empty eg. iplayer radio > A-Z listng >
Jonathan Ross August 16th.
Is this a limitation of the add-on or a problem a

Note that you need to wait for EQed audio to trickle through the SB3's
buffer. Over 10 seconds, or you can force it by skipping to the next track.

I wonder if the SlimDevices folks would consider creating their own EQ
plug in...and one that would allow FF/REW to continue working at that
(although I realize that may be an impossibility as is the case with
Inguz).
Thank you for the fast and helpful response bpa.
It was actually that thread that led me to upgrade to 7.2 as I
understood it to imply that this issue was fixed in that release. I
will post another message on that thread to let them know I am still
having an issue.
