it looks like I did install it from released version
my suggestion would be to update the first post(s) where the link was
presented to the repository (which seams to be obsolete)
will try to change it later and see how it works
how I can deactivate installed version if it does not show me
It's possible (and very easy) for BBC to enable DRM or encrypted RTMP
for Radio similar to TV but it would not make sense since Jan the same
content is available in non-DRM form such as WMA. To be effective the
BBC would have to withdraw the WMA services as well as encrypting
Radio.
Encrypting
Hmmm, no more ideas on my end. I have a classic and it scrobbles OK to
my last.fm. I'm running windows xp, 7.4.2.

Congratulations on your first child, Dr. Lovegrove!
I totally agree: this is much more important than adapting moose to a
beta release of SC...
All the best!

I'm running 7.4.1 on a NAS - do you think I should upgrade?
And -when- should a song scrobble? Does it appear in Last.fm
instantly, or overnight? Or do I have to manually do something?

If set up correctly, it will scrobble instantly. (In fact, it shows on

I think I've done this ...
On SBS server Advanced tab I've selected logging from the drop down
menu. Under Advanced Log Settings I've changed plugin.audioscrobbler
fom Error to debug. I've then clicked on Apply However, I'mn not
sure which log file to view ... the Squeezebox Server Log File

Wasn't expecting those smilies ...
Yes, the forum nicely changes colon-D into some strange smile.
It looks like it's not even trying to scrobble.
You should see something like:
Code:

Just checking that log file was the correct one?
If so, what could be the problem?

OK - I've sorted it now...
I had to go my http://www.mysqueezebox.com/user/apps. There, on the
Scrobbling tab, it was inactive for my player.
Not sure where mysqueezebox.com comes into it, as I am using my library
to source my files, and scrobbling was enabled on SBS Server AND on the
player

gosh, I'd entirely forgotten those settings. I guess I did them a while
back and rarely ever to to mysb.com (as I use the SbS for everything).

I listen to BBC output in AAC format but have noticed that the AAC
streams seem to 'disappear' from time to time (such as now). The WMA
streams seem to be available - when I select them via the separate BBC
App.
I have the BBC iPlayer plugin set up with 'prefer WMA' unticked and
'use Flash AAC'
I've got the same problem with Sugarcube 2.x.x. Some songs are often
repeated within the same session. And another notice: No matter what
song you start with, sugarcube seems to be in love with some. They are
repeated every day.

if you would decide to go for clean-up

- it is already too big to read and follow
Of course you have all rights to decide, I gust may suggest

Its possible to do this, but the plugin currently doesn't do it...
However the only simple answer would be to put both streams onto the
playlist and then assume that the aac one will fail and the server will
move onto the wma one. The main reason for not doing this is that for

Hi, I opened a development ticket but I probably should have just come
here. Here are the details of my problem. This has just started
happening after updating SSOTS 4.6 Squeezebox Server so I'm fully
aware it could be their 'fault'. Hopefully someone can help!

Ah - I appreciate the problem of listen again recordings playing twice
in AAC then WMA format, hadn't thought of that.
In answer, no I don't find the AAC streams failing frequently (about
once a month and usually for 48 hours or less) but it bewilders family

Never mind. I blew away iPeng, rebooted iPhone, blew away squeezeserver
DB and did a rescan and it seems fine now.
That seems weird because the squeezeserver software rendered album art
fine, and so did ipeng for 30 - 60 seconds.
Hmm. Weird. Anyway.

I have found the Radio 4 live AAC stream to be unreliable recently at
peak times (around 6-7pm weekdays and weekend mornings). It seems to
cut out periodically and constantly re-buffer. All other streams seem
OK, so it seems to be a BBC issue coping with the demand.
It would be great if the
