Hi all, Pippen,
Long time since I've posted on these forums, but that's because
iPeng/Playback has been working flawlessly all that time!
Now I have a problem connecting to my LMS (7.7.2) through iPeng on my
iPhone 4S - iOS 5.1.1 device. I was happily streaming through playback
over WiFi all
The usual answer: please send me a diagnostics mail from your iPhone
(tap the mail link under Help) and please also mention which address
you were trying to reach.
You can't open port 3483 with a browser, that's OK.

And... lo and behold... disconnected and reconnected to the WiFi and
iPeng now happily talking to the server. Weird.
Anyway, not so urgent now but I'd appreciate knowing troubleshooting
steps for future problems if anyone has any bright ideas bubbling up!
Time to press play and zone out. :D
I've had this happen on several occasions over wifi (local or remote).
But it has always resolved itself. I have found that shutting down and
restarting my iphone did seem to resolve it but I haven't a clue if that
actually addressed a real problem or the simple act of trying again a
few
2 things:
1. Some networks have a guest mode that only give you access to the
internet. When you somehow connect to that, you won't see any server on
the local network.
2. Some WiFi chipsets seem to have compatibility issues causing
connection losses. I've especially seen that with old routers

I am also seeing issues with future days updating. My current forecasts
seem to update OK, but when I look ahead, those days don't seem to
update automatically. I run SDT on my Boom, and can force a refresh with
the + button, and then I get valid forecasts.

Hi everybody and Pippin
Long-time iPeng for iPhone/iPod fan here!
This is a question/request about handling of compilations. In short:
using iPeng on my iPhone/iPod, compilations are not displayed in line
with LMS Web Remote Control - which is how I think they should (?) - and
would prefer them

A TrackStat restore should not trigger a refresh.
To be sure if a refresh is executed, you can view the server.log file,
TrackStat will show a TrackStat: Synchronizing TrackStat data, please
wait... message when the refresh starts in the server.log if Warn level
is enabled
Yep. This is what the server returns when you use the normal CLI queries
to the database.
iPeng doesn't know what the server doesn't tell...

LMS Web Remote Control seems to be asking the right question and getting
the right answer though? Is it not possible for iPeng to do the
No.
The Web UI runs directly on the server and so it has full access to the
database. iPeng has to query that over the network.
There is a default query which returns the default menus as they are
shown in the Logitech App, that might return the same information as the
web interface, at least

You could file a bug or just ask Michael to fix it, he's probably the
only one who could do that.
Thank you Pippin Sir. I am going to go route one for this.
I just have to work out who Michael is first :)
Michael Herger, he's a Logitech Developer and present on this forum.
The way to ask would be to file a bug and then open a thread in the beta
forum at the bottom. I'd jump in to help there if needed but please
check what the Logitech App does in your case first, I'm not sure about
that and for MY
