I run up to 3 different instances of LMS on my network - one my core
library, another being the 7.9 nightly on my desktop and the third being
on a standalone wandboard implementation with HDD attached - generally
used if weather dictates leaving the wired network up isn't wise.

I can'rt remember my perl very well but the compiler is flagging line
245 of Plugin.pm and you seem to be running an oldish version of Perl
Code:

Tried deleting the cache but it didn't change anything. Did a complete
reinstall of LMS 7.9.0 - 1407759841 (this is the "SqueezeCommunity
version for Vortexbox/Fedora 20) and then a clear and rescan.
Unfortunately, the problem remainsstill no thumbnails (just see the

As a test removed the "use strict" from Plugin.pm file, but still gets

That won't work in RedHat either. So I grabbed all the other perl

HTTP::Request
HTTP::Message
Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA
IO::Socket::INET6
Net::SDP
using perl -MCPAN -e 'install

Before you go to delete the cache, check the server.log file for any
hints about what might be wrong.
Yep, the scan completed just fine. So.how do I go about clearing
artwork cache or artwork.db? Using Winscp, in LMS I can find the
following files:
artwork.db
artwork.db-shm
artwork.db-w
Yes the helper returns "FATAL: Must supply AES key and IV!" when run
directly from a terminal.
I followed everything other then apt-get which won't work on redhat, so
used this instead:

So, your helper is okay? This suggests a problem with the plugin. Did

Umm... Actually I don't know, that would be a question for Michael. I
usually delete all artwork.db files but I don't know what cache.db is
supposed to do.

I compiled it instead of using a prebuilt one, then followed Epoch1970's
advice to ensure it was working ->

Hi All
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - I have had a browse
through the thread and not seen this directly answered...
I have LMS running on a Synology NAS (DS411+II) controlling with iPeng,

Solved it. I had another bit of software listening on the 8080 port
which required authorisation.
I changed 8080 to a different port, and it all worked straight away.
Great work Schmurtz - thanks for your efforts.
