I don't think you will be able to sync without the sync logic that is
currently present. For remote streams, for example, the synchronization
enforces proxying and you probably don't want to do that several times.

I thought I remember reading before that downloading a playlist would
create a local playlist in addition to downloading all the songs. It
doesn't seem to do this on my Kindle Fire. Am I mistaken about this
