OK - we're too fast and getting crossposts .
The issue seems to be with passing control over the Podcast plugin -
something must be lost (or possible assumed) if a JSON UI comes down
through Podcast menu versus indirectly invoked.

I can't find the problem with Podcast parser but I have a worarkound
using standard xmlbrowser RSS handling which means images are lost at
the podcast layer (and I suspect bookmarks are also not provided).
I'll look at bit more into issue later in the week.
