You updated half way only (Debian 9). You really should go all the way
to Buster at the very least (10). Better try all the way to Bullseye

Try an ssh client (e.g. putty or SmarTTY) and login with username pi and
password max2play.

Hi,
I have been using SqueezeCtrl for a while on my aging Samsung Galaxy S7

the app crashes whenever I try to download a song. The Download Manager

Agreed, yet back in 2018 LMS wouldn't work on the most recent piOS
(raspbian Stretch) due to a Perl version incompatibility. Do you think

I can see 'Music Path' in the settings, but that does not mean that
Musicip could be on a different machine?

In sugarcube I see: MusicIP Host Location. But I don't use this plugin.
I usually just use Musicip with Don't stop the music. Mixes are better
with that.
But I can

Has anyone reported issues updating to 5.11.17 using the repo? When I
tick it in the Plugins tab of the settings screen in LMS and restart
LMS,
Beta 0.0.15c now available.
I've taken a different approach this time*.
It does track the real start-time a bit better but is still in advance -
sometimes 20 seconds or so.
But that is better than the 2 minutes I was seeing with their "official"
data.
They are currently in fund-drive mode so the

Yes, but MIP on a different machine would have a different path.

I think the path setting is only for the purpose of converting
differences in local pathes seen by the different programs (MusicIP
versus LMS), not for running it on
so...
i have enabled the plugin again, dunno remember if i have made a delete
db/full rescan, since first enabling of this plugin. Anyway, after
disable/reenable the plugin, the environment is running since two
days/nights without issues. So . self healing.
Would be interesting to get feedback in this thread, on which systems
MusicIP is running using the approach explained in the first post.
So far I know about
- Raspbian 32 bit
- Ubuntu for Raspberry 32 bit
- OSMC 32 bit (to be confirmed if it works with the latest version)
with a Raspberr

Yes, but then you need to use the Sugarcube plugin, instead of the
original MusicIP plugin:

It offers a lot more features than the MusicIP
I did some further testing and your are right: bitrate is always
synchronised even for my own music library. Thanks Slartibartfast for
making me aware of this.
My confusion was because I didn't know the max bitrate of the individual
players. So for Squeezebox Boom max sample rate is 48 kHz and
I was wondering. Would it be possible to have musicip running on another
server then where LMS is installed?
