(hardy). Installed it and now everything is back to normal. mplayer is falling back to 2-4% cpu usage during transcoding. It is off topic but do you happen to know how I could tell my ubuntu OS not to upgrade mplayer in the future? Thanks again for the help. -- Honva

for the list of urls and add a title name for each one of them. Then load the playlist in squeezecenter. I am using Squeezecenter Version: 7.3.4 - 27488 on Ubuntu, Squeezebox 3, ipod touch. Thanks for looking into it. -- Honva

Thank you very much Peter. The permission setting did the trick. I actually looked at the permission of the ttyS0 before but somehow mis-read that as rw for all already. After reading your message, I took a second look and found out it wasn't. ;-) thanks again. -- Honva

I upgraded to 5.1 last week but found that I can no longer control the volume of my SB3 with the iTouch. The volume bar did display but it is white in colour and not movable. Is this a known issue or something I did wrong? Reverting to 4.5 and the volume bar works again. -- Honva
