Would it be possible to add a menu to Radio 4 that list the programs for

I'll see if I can get some debug but I am also seeing this on my SB2 (it
says duration unknown). This was happening with v0.7x as well so I don't
think it is an AAC problem.

If you go to Radio 4, The Archers - other episodes. Tue, Wed, Thu are ok
but Fri, Sun, Mon aren't. They seem to be ok on the BBC iPlayer site.
In general it seems that anything new, from Friday onwards on R4 or R7
is not working on the slim server.

The current AlienBBC beta installs to "C:\Program Files\SlimServer" but
by default SqueezeCenter installs to "C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter".
(This will be fixed in the next beta which is due for release soon.)

You can do this yourself by installing it then manually tweaking
convert.conf and types.conf to include the bits from the alien bbc
versions, custom-convert.conf & custom-types.conf.
I think it would be better if we could convince SD to support the real
audio streams natively.

It does look like a firewall/anti-virus issue. Have you seen the FAQ
about NOD32 http://www.x2systems.com/AlienBBC/faq.html, sometimes
disabling firewall/anti-virus is not enough as they still leave a bit
behind.

I think this is a problem with the AsyncHTTP in 6.5, unfortunately I
can't see if it has been fixed by recent updates to AsyncHTTP because
6.5 is not working at all for me at the moment.

What version of SlimServer are you using? When I try I get an error in

I have found the bug and it is fairly simple to fix. Edit the file
AlienAddon\AlienStreamMenu.pm, go to line 98 and change:
my $new_root = $self->{path} . " / " . $name;
to
my $new_root = $self->{path} . "/" . $name;
(remove the spaces around the '/
It was working but I have just checked and it seems to have broken. I'll
take a look and see if I can work out what is happening.

AlienBBC itself supports any file format that slimserver supports. The
AlienBBC installation adds support for real streams which is missing
from slimserver.

For what it worth I'm having the same problems. Most of the weekend R1
didn't play for more than a few minutes before a dropout. R4 seemed to
have the same problems. I think this is a BBC problem as I tried
RealPlayer and that was better but still suffered the occasional
problem.
