Ralphy:
I installed the 0.9 binary, and I have my FLAC files working again!
Thanks for your help.
Now, is there any way to fix the chipmunk effect when playing
Internet radio stations with a lower-than-average bit rate?

Ralphy:
No luck, I'm sorry to say. The new Squeezeslave player only plays
Internet radio and other Mp3 streams, not any FLAC streams.
I guess I install the 7.3.3 patch first, then install a 0.9 binary. I
may have questions while I do this. Thanks for your time and trouble.

not in use?
I seem to recall there was a command-line mixer for Pulseaudio, but I
cannot recall the command. I'm wondering if all my mixer inputs got
reset to zero?

I finally narrowed it down--I can play Internet radio and MP3 files (I
only have a handful of them), but cannot play my thousand of FLAC files
on Squeezeslave.
This started when I upgraded Squeezecenter to 7.3.3.

in the 1960s, I am far from my programming
days. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable with Windows, but this was
the first Linux box I ever built.
Thanks again to anyone who can help.

The current version of SoftSqueeze on my computer is 3.6. I don't know
if this helps or not.

Very cool.
Feel free to add this to the Plugins area on wiki.slimdevices.com.
I'm sure you'll get lots of interest, this has been something that
folks have asked for for years!
All the best,

Yes, file an enhancement request on http://bugs.slimdevices.com/
We're working with radioIO on it now. Stay tuned.

This is a Squeezebox1 (i.e. you are running firmware 40 and it
doesn't say Squeezebox 2 or v3 on the bottom, right?)
Many radio stations use lower sample rates than are legal for S/PDIF
(i.e. 16k), and Squeezebox1 doesn't upsample the digital outs. So
you are out of luck. Sorry.
On
SlimServer does do transcoding for bitrate conversion, but isn't
doing sample rate conversion now. It may be possible with a little
software work, but I'm not sure anybody's tried that yet.

Hm, didn't do anything:
[Name [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Dean,
What did you do to add the mailto links? I tried the same brackets
changes [name email] you made in each of the plugins wiki pages, but
that did not work - it now seems
if nobody else has done it (I'm quite happy to do it,
but it'll
be tonight).
So, if you could leave the static page up until I've finished
copying them
that would be great.
Thanks,
Stuart

Podcast support for SqueezeNetwork is definitely in our plans. Stay
tuned.

Guys
Why is the plugin for Podcasts only useful if SlimServer is

It's a good idea and one we've discussed around the office, but
nobody's stepped up to take a crack at it.
I submitted it to our Bugzilla system: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/

Feel free to add your ideas, comments and patches.
