I've just installed MusicIP as the first step to Spicefly Sugarcube.
The downloaded Windows version from the SF website has the Archive
Analysis option greyed out - is this correct?
Which Sugarcube version is installed using the SBS plugin?

Obviously you have gone through Options, what are the file types of your
music ? MIP won't archive to some Apple formats, can't remember which
ones though.

you have checked scan and then OK ?

I would try closing MIP and restarting, then if that doesn't work, turn
off and restart the computer while facing East and muttering please

Sometimes its greyed out when its scanning. Try waiting for it to
finish and then go into the menus and try to select it. Failing that
just select all your music files in the gui window and right click and
select "Archive Analysis modifies file" (or something like that) and it
will punch it into

I noticed something strange since I'm running 7.6.1 of SBS along with
3.50 of sugarcube.
My SBS scans my whole music directory + import musicIP mixable status
in 24 minutes (12 600 songs).
In MusicIP mixer and headless WebUI : I have 12600 songs mixable.
In SBS the scanner status says 12
Have you looked at the SugarCube Live View in the gui ?
My Music / Spicefly SugarCube - it will show you the track analysed and
the tracks returned by MIP.

Actually a track was found and added in the server.log, without error,
but strangely not passed to the player...
Anyway I did the following:
- Deleting my m3lib musicIP file
- Uninstalled SBS 7.6.1 and deleted everything
- Regenerated my MUSICIP database (had the ID in tags, so it went
fast)

Hi,
I got the nudge to upgrade to 7.6 on WHS the other day and since then
Spicefly sugarcube refuses to work ( I think I have version 3.5). I
have tried everything I can think of to get it functioning again,
including the steps listed by the previous poster.
Am at a bit of a loss what to do now.
How do you get v 3.5? I did the donation thing and got the download
link. I seem to have version 3.02 now.

Interesting. Good to know that I am not the only one with 3.02. Though
the website says 3.5 is the latest version for folks who have donated.
I wonder how one gets that.

Login to the spiceFy site with the login name and password that was
supplied to you after you donat
Just be aware that you might get problems with 3.5 if you are running
ipeng on one of your devices and 3.5 is activated on this player (ipod
or ipad).
Tracks are interupted which affects also the other players. 3.02 works
still ok.

According to my knowledge difference between 3.02 and 3.5 is an
additional sqlite database which handles the sugarcube data. This seems
to interact with ipeng when it is used as player on the ipod/ipad. Then
you will observe dropouts on the on these devices. I have also observed
dropouts on my SB3

I have not tried using ipeng as a player ans so didn't have a clue what
you were on about.
I too think Spicefly SugarCube is one of the best plugins and the Live
View addition to 3.50 was a great enhancement. Are the iPeng developers
aware of the problem?
I wasn't given a login and password after my small donation (living on a
pension - sorry).
I still cannot get sugarcube to work again, which is a great shame as
it by far the best plugin I have used.

As reported by mr_hyde a few posts earlier, there appears to be some
conflict between v3.5 of the Spicefly Sugarcube plugin and iPeng
playback. I'm still on Spicefly v3.02 which doesn't appear to have the

You could do what I do - just queue what you want to "play next" and
leave the SugarCube track at the end. Sugarcube will take over again
when your manually added tracks are f

Sugarcube is working fine, but I tried it for the first time with my
boom and receiver sync'd and the seed track plays fine, but when any
subsequent tracks play they are not in sync? It is only slight but it
is there?

I got the email saying thanks for the payment and a link to get the
install for v3.02. However nothing in that email shows a username or
password. It seems I need version 3.50 or later to work with
squeezebox version 7.6.1

I run the regular MIP and control it through the console. It is
essential to start MIP before Squeezebox Server (SB) so that SB can
recognize that MIP is running.
MIP has to analyze your music, I "archive" the analysis and MIP writes
2 tags, ANALYSIS and FINGERPRINT.
