Well, I bit the bullet and upgraded to 7.4.2, which I knew was not going
to be fun based on my previous attempts at upgrading. I'm still having
the same problem, but it seems to become more widespread and special
characters now seem to be a major issue. I have lots of the following

I just want to say that erland's plugins make my squeezebox life so much
better so thanks a lot for the work you do. I'm having an issue with
Play Count/Rating/LTP being not updated for certain tracks and I think
it has to do with special characters such as . There was another
thread on this
