No, 7.2 wouldn't work on Snow Leopard and had to be replaced with 7.3.4 as documented in the SqueezeCenter forum. My initial post was therefore correct, that SS 3.9b1 wouldn't work on 7.2 under Snow L but incorrect since SC wasn't working either. Viv -- vhs

There is no difference in the contents of the files between 3.7 and 3.9b1 just the location of the source files. IS there a difference in owner or permissions between the location of softsqueeze.jnlp for 3.7 and the softsqueeze.jnlp for 3.9b1. -- bpa ---

The 3.8 packages on sourceforge were built with 1.6 and the windows 3.8 package with jre is bundled with java 1.6. Softsqueeze runs fine for me with jre 1.6 both on windows and linux, so it's most likely an OSX issue. -- ralphy --
