Hi,
The service field allows to tie a connection to a service name instead
of to a fixed hostname/port connection. If you want to move around QGIS
projects between different machines (sometimes the database is on local

Any idea how can export the result of my query?
Thanks,

Hi,
there are a lot of different options available.
Many GIS offer Postgis connectors and are scriptable (GRASS, QGIS
Server, GeoServer).
I personally would also experiment with SVG output. The AsSVG() output
allows you to convert Postgis geometry to SVG. You'd have to build the
SVG structu
aggregate query really. This is also a problem for querymaps
in MapServer.
The alternative I settled with was creating a false key -
for instance if the view was a makeline from points, making
an id that was the gid of the first * 10 + the gid of
the second.
That may help. It may not - but th

Hi Zia,
As Michael said, the postgresql COPY command is a standard way from
PostgreSQL to import CSV data. You can specify the columns, delimiter,
NULL values, quotes and other parameters and it will stop and report
errors if a line does not fit the data-types of the defined tables.

Hi Regina,
I am pretty sure it is a restriction by Geoserver, but I am not a

Thank you for shedding some light on it. If the curve support is already
quite good, I would consider starting to experiment with curves.
