Well, that's interesting. The MAC address seems to be a semi-permanent number... I say semi-permanent because I know that on Sun boxen, if you know enough about Open Firmware, you can reprogram your NIC's MAC address. I've never heard about Mac people doing this to their NICs, and I imagine

It would more likely cost you more to sue and I believe that you have to be present in the court to go to small claims. The FBI would not handle the case as the value is too small. If you used mail rather than another carrier, I would check out the Postal Inspectors at the US Postal Service.
