Well, that's interesting. The MAC address seems to be a semi-permanent number... I say semi-permanent because I know that on Sun boxen, if you know enough about Open Firmware, you can reprogram your NIC's MAC address. I've never heard about Mac people doing this to their NICs, and I imagine

Hi Tina. I am another 1400/G3 owner (and fan) in Denmark. Ahh, the keybord clicking and the crisp screen! I have read with interest the answers you have got. The only one pending seems to be the one with the screen dimming instead of getting completely black. I have checked and unchecked the box

It would more likely cost you more to sue and I believe that you have to be present in the court to go to small claims. The FBI would not handle the case as the value is too small. If you used mail rather than another carrier, I would check out the Postal Inspectors at the US Postal Service.
