ISDN Connection in India

I am presently trying to get anyone of my several powerbooks to work on an ISDN connection I have just taken in India (DSL isn't here yet). The line has been tested with an ISDN phone and it works, also I have tested the data function of a single channel on a borrowed external DIVA T/A ISDN Modem

Thanks Esver and you are right! However, I did download the Macintosh User's Manual for the PowerBook 1400 series from Apple's web site. On page 157, the manual says to remove the 5 screws and the diagram shows 5 screws. I did that. Thought the thing was stuck as I didn't realize there was a 6

Hi List - Just bought a PB 1400 and was trying to upgrade the RAM in it myself. Followed the instructions in the manual, took off speaker cover, carefully lifted up the keyboard - no luck, the cable pulled loose - took the 5 long screws out of the heat shield and went to pull up the heat shie

You're doing nothing wrong. Toshiba made two versions of 2.5" SCSI drives, one with terminating resistors installed and one without them. Sometimes you can identify them by the model number. After the Hdd # , there is a letter. C=termination, D, L and R=no termination. I haven't tried to ins

It is my understanding that you can put as much RAM in the PB1400 as will fit. BUT... it will only recognize 64mb. I have criptically heard of people working to breach this barrier, but I still have no leads. What can be done, so I am told is to add Compact Flash memory, or the like, to the PCM
