wireless drivers for 8.6

hi all just dropping everybody a line orinoco has posted drivers for all of us pb 1400 onwers that have a wireless card the drivers work with 8.6 to i installed 8.6 on a seperate partition on my book and the drivers do work they address where you can find it is ftp://ftp.orinocowireless.com/pub/

Modem issues with 540c

Hi all, Tried firing up the internal modem in my 540c a few hours ago with little success. Won't dial from PPP Control Panel, just errors that the actual modem is trying to access something (itself?) that is already in use. AppleTalk is set to Ethernet, TCP/IP was tried on PPP and Ethernet settin

Try other modems, especially with "Express" in their names, or try the Global Village Platinum or Bronze modem settings. These worked for me on 230s and 100 series as well as 5300s. Maybe Apple used another. Also, check modem scripts or other modem extensions. I needed an Express Modem extensi

thanks for the info Dana... I don't have the Express Modem Control Panel you speak off... quick search around da web didn't help. Don't suppose you (or someone else on the list) could stuffit up (on a PC at the moment, .sit protects res. fork) and mail it might way? Would be a big help. Cheers, B

Addressing digest problems

Maclaunch is aware of the problems we've been having with digests -- but hasn't heard back from Communigate yet. Until then, I've adjusted digest size downward on the less busy lists, from 20 messages max. per digest to 10 or even 5. Hope this gets things moving again. -- Dan Knight, presid
