I have a 540c. I tried to use a lacie fm radio that plugs into the audio in and the ADB port. When I access the radio through the software, it plays real choppy and seemingly delayed (I simultaneously had my stereo on the same station and the PB was delayed). Does anyone know why this happens? The

No, I didn't mean "to put the music on the Hard Drive". I meant that the audio CDs started playing from an EXTERNAL Cd driver through the PowerBook speakers. My question was: Can an older PB do this or needs some newer software and/or hardware? That's a good question, and one to which I honestl

On the 520 (same as the 540), you can control an audio CD playing in an external CD-ROM, but from my experience (and from what the CD software folk tell me), it won't play back thru the SCSI line reliably. I just plug a pair of external computer speakers into the CD-ROM and use those--they have be

Sounds like its the one. The "Top layer" is an IDE drive - this sits on the IDE to SCSI "adaper/board/two ended card " underneath. Just carefully take the top drive off and replace with a more high powered IDE drive. Make sure the pins all go in the right places - it also reverses the drive in the
