I'm trying to connect my PowerPC upgraded PowerBook 540c/100 (OS 8.1) to my Power Mac 7200/120 (OS 8.6) through coax (10Base2) network cable using the AAUI ports (transceivers, etc). The problem is, compared to the computer the 7200 replaced (a Quadra 800), connecting to the 7200 from the PowerBo

Since you aren't getting video or sound, I'd check the main ribbon cable that connects the top half of the computer (screen, speakers, microphone) to the bottom half (motherboard). Make sure it's plugged in firmly and not damaged. The one on my 540c wasn't in securely the first time I worked on
