We got a VST drive from another UK list member for our 5300 and put it in
the expansion bay - just pulled out Floppy drive and exchanged. It worked
straight off. We were over the moon as it allows us to use Zip disks that
were formatted on PC's directly. It reads them with no

Drivers? for a Reno Media Vision portable CD?
Just got one of these to link into our PB5300 but does anyone know whether
or not it requires additional scripts or drivers as none came with it. (Bad
enough it uses 12 batteries!) Will probably take another day for our NiMH
battery charger to charge
We upgrade and generally mess around with donated machines with a view to
redistributing them so we get a chance to try out almost everything in the

Its a nice machine full off really useful programmes but there is a minor
fault or faults to be precise,on the HD. Clicking any sub-menu on the

My experience with 9.1 on my 167mhz PBs 500 has been quite positive.
However I think the key to using 9.1 on such older 'Books is to have
maxed RAM _and_ a newer, faster HD. For example, one of my 167s currently
