Thanks for all the suggestions, but we have pretty much established
it is not a problem with the adapter. The adapters used are known,
good, adapters that do work with the 2400c.
The problem is the 2400c has gone into some type of permanent "sleep".

Believe me, don't trust what someone on the swap lists says. Check it
yourself BEFORE you buy. The swap list is only slightly different from e
bay. On e bay you have more
