Hi,
I used the same harddrive in my 5300 and it works. Try using a
floppy tools disk to intialize the drive.

That shouldn't be necessary for an IDE drive. Only SCSI drives would

We opened it up, installed the drive, with no problem. The problem came when
we tried to start up. Started off the OS 8.6 CD with no problem, but the
