Anyhow, I just really wonder how many people really run into the 2 GB limit.
I know at least one person ;-
I have actually reached a situation where I am looking for an
alternative to PowerMail because of the 2GB limit. I have been using
I have been using Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) for a long time, and I am
still using it with success. The only time when there were problems was
on Tiger before 10.4.2 because some aspect of the OS APIs (I believe
some AppleScript stuff that had to do with authentication) was broken.
So in 10.4.1 for

Hi,
once in a while I was having the problem with PowerMail that all of a
sudden clicking through emails in the Recent Mails window (and probably
in any other mail browser window) became very slow - PowerMail
needed up to 10 seconds to display the text of the email I just selected.

My other main complaint with regard to the search feature: AFAIK it
cannot be used with the keyboard only (even if universal access is
enabled on Mac OS/X). I am a keyboard focused user (you can't beat my
speed using a mouse).
Add saved searches and I'd love PM even more.

I believe the issue is we need more than one flag or label per message.
At the moment we have one and a half;
- the label (customizable color and label name with associated keyboard

- the read/unread flag (which only counts half because - surprise

Hi,
I just realized that the search feature doesn't seem to work for text in
HTML formatted mails... is that a known limitation, or am I just missing
something.
Along the same lines: I am unable to filter out messages with a certain
string in the (HTML formatted) body. Same issue?

In any case, I'll try to proceed as if the only problem was the DB's size
and would like to ask you:
1. Is the message database increased by the Address Book as well?
2. If compacting the Database, can I still read single messages?
3. What
Roughly 235.000 emails over the last two years or so.
My main issue with PowerMail is that I run into the 2 GB limit once in a

when I get closer and closer to the 2 GB limit.
The main reason I do not want to remove older

In the end it came down to an issue of

If it wasn't open before you mahev to hit the

Hi folks
I seem to be unable to recover from a database issue - no access anymore
to my email database...
Starting last Thursday I ran into database issues. After doing a 'compact
database' (after PM 5.0 had warned me that I was coming close to the 2GB
limit) the night before, when retrieving
I like the idea of 'folders' within the list of mail filters. I am
currently somehow mimicking this - I have built dummy filters that do not
