I just put a space or two in front of the name. It seems simpler to
me. I'd use numbers in front if they have special significance. So I'd
have Winston's folder like this to get them where I want them (plus a
few thrown in for example):

Thanks, Mark. Mine seems to be OK with "gmail" now.

Thanks, Marlyse. I'm picking up my mail fine now by selecting the
dedicated secure port. I'm glad to know that the @ is fine and I've
told the tech guy.
I did have authenticate as user checked and filled in.
I tried changing my rscj.org account (e-mail provider) to having my 3web

Hi, Jim,
Yes, I have 'use secure connections' checked. Right now I also have
checked 'using the STARTTLS command'. Is that OK or should I check 'on
a dedicated secure port' instead? Ah, that's it! I guess I didn't try
that before. I don't know why I didn't nor why I need it, but it's

This is probably a basic question for most of you...
I have one mail server from which I receive mail into PowerMail.
Well, my ISP is a second one, but I don't use it except to receive my
monthly bill statement.
My e-mail server recently changed from whatever it was using before to
using gmail. No

I started using Powermail about 6 years ago simply because I wanted to
be able to read and write in Japanese, but have my menus still in
English. I couldn't find any other e-mail program that would do that.
Japanese software would make things very difficult for me, and probably

For whatever it's worth, my problem isn't over. I had hoped it was.
I got a key, downloaded it (is it really an Excel binary file? early versions'
keys looked different), and dropped it on the new PowerMail 5.2.2 icon.
It opened PowerMail automatically,

I'm new to discussions, and not sure how this works.
But CTM read my message and told me they'll check it out and
get back to me soon. I thought I should send a message to you all
so that no one else needs to write me a message about my PM key.
Thanks to those of you who have responded to me.

I have paid for PowerMail 5.2.2; ctmdev charged my credit card on 2 January.
I have downloaded 5.2.2, but cannot use it with my e-mail, which has more
than 200 messages in various folders, which I want to keep.
Because my previous version is 4.2.1, PowerMail help refuses my message.
