I have applied a solution, by using foxypreviewer.
I avoided using Foxy early on, thinking it was too many keystrokes/mouse
clicks, but really, I should have used it earlier on.
It still beats me why "set printer to name (name) " gave me the errors

OK, but I've only ever seen that issue if there report has the printer
environment included and the particular printer is not available to the
workstation that's trying to run the report. I've never seen it if the
environment is empty. You do have the HotFix that corrects the issue with
VFP9 reset

discontinued but that means it should be cheap somewhere.
I think it may be that they seem unclear because you import them as a
different size. Maybe try making them the same size and use Paint Shop Pro
to adjust the size aft

Thanks to all! I think the problem is that I am using a jpg then re-sizing
it in Word and the compression causes the problems. I've just tried using
PNG and it is much better even with re-sizing in Word. I'll also give
FSCapture a whirl as I seem to do a lot writing teaching notes.

I have a ComboBox on a form. When the user enters a name (rather than
clicking and scrolling through the options), it works just fine. The problem
is, if they pause in the middle of typing a name. For example:
They're looking for JONES.
They type JO (which takes them to the first JO n
IIRC the combobox (and lists) uses the system mouse double click interval. In
theory you might be able to temporarily change that value via gotfocus and
restore it in lostfocus?
