For providing support, I use Teamviewer.
For remote users to access my server, I use http://www.tsplus.net/.
It maps local drives and prints on local printers as well.
Needless to say, but the internet bandwidth on both sides will determine
the user experience.

I also was saddened by the impending removal of tab groups, Gene. You may have
noticed in the banner notification that there is an add-on that keeps the
functionality in FF and I installed it. Seems to work just like the native one
so far.
