FOLLOWUP:
My first production use of GatherPlace.net was a diaster. Half the
guests couldn't connect and those that could connect took a very long
time to do so. Everyone was connecting through IE 6.0 using the latest
Java run time.
I ended up re-subscribing (on-the-fly) to GotoMeeting 3.0 and ma

get. Nope, they just want the exposure (for now).

Happy to share my research with this list.
When the stars are aligned and the technology gods are smiling, the
concept of online meetings made famous by WebEx works great. BUT there's
always Murphy waiting around the corner to screw things up.

I've had sporadic problems with GotoMeeting and am not psyched by its
$50/month fee. GotoMeeting requires installation of an IE plugin
(ActiveX) on the user side which can be problematic. GotoMeeting
averages 4-5 day turnaround on tech s
