They do have power backups, but they last about 20 minutes. And yes, the infrastructure is toast, as you say. But going to phone apps is not suitable. These are stores that sell over the counter. They need to issue invoices, control stocks, receivables, payables, cash... As for web apps, I am

and MS SQL as the back end. MS SQL Server Express does not have replication (or rather, it is not a full feature of it). My client is adamant that he does not want to pay for a commercial version of SQL Server, as he is very happy with open source software, especially because it is FREE. Rafael
