I know some PCAD users who have been complaining from
Radeon 9600 video card.
It may not be just Protel's problem.
I'm using nVidia GeForce4 MX and it serves me well.

Yes, there is a small difference here. You can watch
TV or drink coffee while your PC is doing the layout,
which you can't do if you route it manually.

There won't be problems if you use either. I always
prefer TH connectors when possible.
Terminations a normally placed at the end of the line.
Normally you have a component there either on top or

I checked it but it behaves differently.
When "\" is placed at the end it draws the line only
after the last character.
To get a single neation on the whole string I had to
type "\" in front of it.

The "plane" is normally in inner layers (used for
spreading out the VCC and GND), negative image, solid

The strings I got in Protel as a result of PCAD
database import were real strings. They could be
selected and edited but not deleted untill the PCB was
saved.
The problem was fixed.
