Steve, you could creat a bus to send your audio track through and when
recording go and mute that bus and the audio track will still be recording the
signal.

the desk is set up. I know exactly where the feedback is coming from. I’ll
work around it.
Thanks to all who tried to help with this.

Hi Steve,
If you're using the computer's built-in audio, therein lies the problem if
you're monitoring the computer's output through the console. I'm sure there's
probably a better way to route signals in this case but, without knowing all
the details, it's impossible to suggest anything that w

hi slau, no the problem is really in the way the desk is set up. There is a
computer level nobb. When you turn this up, you have an option to monitor what
is being recorded, while listening to what is coming
from other sauses, unfortunately the way it’sset up, it also records what ever

Steve,
I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. If you're getting feedback, it's not
a software issue. Either turn down your monitor or use headphones. Why are you
getting feedback?
Option-k toggles between Auto Input and Input Only monitoring. Thus, if you're
not in record mode on a track, p
ok from what i can see, option k just let’s me monitor the input at all times.
What I need is the opposite. I am wondering if i can turn off the input, so i
don’t hear what i am recording till i play it back. I need this in this
situation, as i am getting a feedback lupe when using an annalogue
It does on my lowly version.

Sorry was typing yeah HD.
I’am sure Option-K should still give you what you are looking for.
Just toggle to hear playback.

ok mike. thanks for your help, i’ll give it a run.
Sounds like i may need h d at some stage if it does things like that.

It should be plug and play once you get Pro tools going. As far as Sonar, I am
not sure. You would probably have to dig around in some forems.

Steve one more thing,
If you go Setup, Preferences Operations,
check “PEC track input monitoring, so now when you Option-K it will switch with
out you having to toggle the track input button…

Hi guys, I just receive my 11rack, and let me tell you ... as stand alone
just listening through my linear headphones the sound is in did great I must

Scroling presets and making ajustments is like a normal guitar amp,
straight forward.
It's a 2unit rack, great stuff.

Hey Steve after you switch to input monitoring, to hear playback you have to
switch back to auto input.
Also make sure the track input monitor button is deselected…
That button is just left of the record select button.

Hey john yes, i did give that a go earlier today, but it just seems to allow me
to monitor the input at all times.so when the transport is stopped the input
still comes through. For some reason i can not seem to record in this mode. not
sure why.

Hi. i am wondering if there is a way to turn off input monitoring in protools
when recording.
you can do this in sonar for each track. Under normal conditions i would not
want to run this way, but i had protools running through an analogue desk
today, and to cut a long story short, i ran my co
