For audio/music production, you probably won’t need any of the features in Ultimate/HDX so I wouldn’t worry about that. They have moved enough into regular pro tools over the years. Audio interface wise given that you are running an old “CheeseGrator” Mac Pro from the sounds of things, that pret

I owned the Thunderbolt Clarett for a while and i believe its the same except for the USB connection. The iOS app worked well at the time but the desktop app was not accessible. Focusrite was good about remoting into my machine to help me set up a few presets since I could load them independentl
