Hi Brett, Pro Tools with VoiceOver is very accessible and there are obviously a whole lot of variables when it comes to interfaces and such. Some folks on the list have had success with a number of affordable interfaces so I'll let them chime in. A control surface is not absolutely necessary

Protools on the mack is the way to go. They even have a specific set of Scripps call flow tools to assist with the current version of ProTools. A good interface and control service will get you where you need to go. You could spend very little or if you want to do bands thousands of dollars if
