I don't know if you're right either but, regardless, you can simply pan each
side right to the center and you'll have a mono image.

If there was any ambience added to a mono track, you'll lose the stereo aspect
of the mono audio but, frankly, it's a judgement call. Is there a specific
reason you need to make the essentially mono sounding tracks truly 100% mono?

sighted users instantly recognize whether a track is stereo or mono. Blind
users generally either have to look at whether there's one pan knob or two. Flo
Tools makes that easy. There's no way to transform a stereo track to mono other
than splitting it and deleting the original stereo
